Authentiaction fields - how are they determined?

Hi there, can anyone tell me what criteria is used by Caspio to add a field to the "Authentication Fields" that are listed in the dropdown at the top of an HTML edit dialog. I've noticed that most of the fields in my user table are listed as authentication fields but, not all. So, my question is: What causes a field to end up in the "Authentication Fields" lists?
