Check if table is empty when accessing datapage

On a submission form that add records to table A.  I have a field that uses a dropdown control that lookup values from  table B.

My problem is that if table B is empty the submission form won't work well.

So,  how can a raise an alert on this submission form to inform the user that he first needs to add values to table B?  

It's something that before the user submits anything,  the system will identify that the lookup table is empty and raise an alert.

Hi LuluSW,

I would suggest adding "Any" option to your drop-down.

You can allow a user to add an option to the drop-down by using concept described in this article.

Thanks Vitalikssss,  but I really need to validate if the drop-down is empty.  The logic will not allow a "Any" option.

I tried to look for different options to resolve your issue but the only one that came up was a GET API call to count the values in table B. This way, if it is 0(zero) and alert could be fired and then you could redirect your user to Table B to add records.
