  1. Hi Berean, Tell me please, do you use the Lookup Table for Views? If so, whether this is one Lookup Table for all Views? Iren
  2. Hello Berean, Welcome aboard Do you want to display just the numbers of records of each DataPage in one or you want to embed each Datapage to one? Do DataPages use conditions for records? Could you please provide the link to your DataPage for investigation?
  3. Hello Brandlike, You can accomplish this using two web forms, the first web form is the input form containing all data but only the main data is inserted to the main table; the other data which needs to be inserted to the second table (virtual fields) are passed to second form and auto submit the form to insert the data to the second table. You can find more details about auto submit a DataPage in the article: http://forums.caspio.com/index.php/topic/4314-js-auto-submit-a-datapage/ Hope it helps
  4. Hello Elena, You can create 'Update Form' and 'Report' DataPages on two separate pages. Accordingly, you don't eliminate your settings for 'Update Form' DataPage. The article with instructions: http://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/parameters/results-and-details-on-two-separate-web-pages/ Hope it helps.
  5. Hello Elena, I would recommend you to use a 'Details' Report DataPage instead of the 'Single Record Update'. You can allow access to DataPage using 'Record Level Security' feature of Authentication. The article: http://howto.caspio.com/authentications-and-connections/authentication/record-level-security/ explains in further details. Hope it helps
  6. Hello Berean, I would recommend you to create new table when you import data with unique fields. You can find the screenshot in the attachment. Please refer to this article for further information: http://howto.caspio.com/files-and-images/bulk-file-import-and-export/ Hope it helps.
  7. Hi Parma2015, To set the default value by a parameter value you can enable 'On load' option by checking the 'Receive value or parameter' on the 'Advanced' tab. Select a default value or parameter from this dropdown and enter a parameter name to receive parameters. Please refer to this article for further information: http://howto.caspio.com/parameters/receiving-parameters/. Hope it helps.
  8. Hello EYESINC, As far as I know 'Concatenate/Combine two fields into one field' and 'Perform a calculation on values entered in a WebForm' JavaScript solutions perform functions in a Submission Form. They both use the 'onsubmit' event, but only one function can be done after submit. I would recommend you to combine two functions in one: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> function calculate() { var position1 = document.getElementById("InsertRecordPosition1").value; var position2 = document.getElementById("InsertRecordPosition2").value; var allpositions = position1 + position2; document.getElementById("InsertRecordAllPositions").value = allpositions; var v_price = parseFloat(document.getElementById("InsertRecordPrice").value); var v_quantity = parseFloat(document.getElementById("InsertRecordQuantity").value); var v_total = (v_price * v_quantity); document.getElementById("InsertRecordTotal").value = Math.round(v_total); } document.getElementById("caspioform").onsubmit=calculate; </SCRIPT> Enter names of your fields instead of Position1, Position2, Price, Quantity. Hope it helps
  9. Hi Mark, If the number of directors is limited, for example number is 4, you can follow the following steps: 1) Add to the table 4 fields: director1, director2, director3, director4. 2) Edit your report and navigate to the 'Configure Results Page Fields' step. 3) Create the 'Rule 1' rule: if the 'num_directors' value less than '4', the 'director4' field should be hidden. 4) Create the 'Rule 2' rule: if the 'num_directors' value less than '3', the 'director3' field should be hidden. 5) Create the 'Rule 3' rule: if the 'num_directors' value less than '2', the 'director2' field should be hidden. 6) Create the 'Rule 4' rule: if the 'num_directors' value less than '1', the 'director1' field should be hidden. Hope it helps.
  10. Hi NJGonzo, Please move down the HTML block with the code. It should be placed after all DataPage elements.
  11. Hi simonponder, Probably, the better way is using the view as the data source of your DataPage. You can indicate 'Recaps' table as editable. You can find more details about views in the article in How To: http://howto.caspio.com/tables-and-views/what-are-views/ Hope it helps
  12. Hi NJGonzo, It seems it was misunderstanding. If you use the tabular search report, you can use the following code: <a id="visi[@field:autonumber]"></a> <script> var isi = document.getElementById("visi[@field:autonumber]"); var v_tr = isi.parentNode.parentNode; var v_tds = v_tr.getElementsByTagName('td'); for(var v_i=0;v_i<v_tds.length;v_i++) { if('[@field:text]' == 'Yes') { v_tds[v_i].style.color='#00FFFF'; v_tr.style.backgroundColor = '#A00101'; } } </script> Enter names of your fields instead of autonumber and text. Let me know if this helps.
  13. Hi NJGonzo, Could you please provide the link to your DataPage for investigation?
  14. Hi NJGonzo, You can use the next code to change the text color and background only for the specific entry based on criteria: <a id="visi[@field:autonumber]"></a> <script> var isi = document.getElementById("visi[@field:autonumber]"); if('[@field:text]' == 'Yes'){ var listItem = isi.parentNode.parentNode; listItem.style.backgroundColor = '#A00101'; var list = listItem.getElementsByClassName('cbResultSetData'); for(var i = 0; i < list.length; i++){ list[i].style.color = '#00FFFF'; } } </script> Hope it works.
  15. Hello Leadma, You can see the article and the video with instructions how create Details and Comment DataPages on the one page. Hope it helps.
  16. Hi NJGonzo, If I understand correctly, you want to change the color of all values in the fields. You can use following code in HTML block field: <a id="visi[@field:autonumber]"></a> <script> var isi = document.getElementById("visi[@field:autonumber]"); if('[@field:text]' == 'Yes'){ var listItem = isi.parentNode.parentNode; var list = listItem.getElementsByClassName('cbResultSetData'); for(var i = 0; i < list.length; i++){ list.style.color = '#A00101'; } } </script> Enter names of your fields instead of autonumber and text. Hope it helps.
  17. Hi. Is there any way to record a timestamp when a specific field is updated?
  18. Hi hkwall22, Please follow the next steps to display the total number of records without showing the rows of data: 1) Add 'Autonumber' DataType in the table; 2) Create 'Tabular Report' DataPage with 'Autonumber equal 1' pre-defined criteria; 3) Add only Calculated Field on the 'Configure Results Page Fields' step: SELECT COUNT(autonumber_name) FROM table_name. You can read details in the article. Hope it helps.
  19. Hi Geoff, You can use following code in the footer field: <script> function ocProductsCheck() { if (document.getElementById('InsertRecordOC_news_print').checked.==false) { document.getElementById("InsertRecordOC_news_eletter").checked=false; } } document.getElementById("InsertRecordOC_news_print").onchange=ocProductsCheck; </script> Hope it helps.
  20. Hi Chad, As far as I know, there is no significant difference.
  21. Hi Parma2015, You can try to click on the 'Reset password' option in the field with 'Password' DataType in the table, then confirm it on the appeared popin. New password for empoloyee should be shown. Hope it helps.
  22. Hi Wayne, Could you please provide the code of embedding a multi-user redirected login for investigation?

    Ranking Outside

Hi jeffs88keys, Tell me please do you want to count sales ranking for one day or for a certain period of time?
  24. Hi Chad, If I understand you correctly, you can select 'Forma type: None' in 'Formatting Settings' of 'Field Options' section. Let me know if it is not what you want.
