  1. @CoopperBackpack, @TellMeWhy& @PotatoMato: thank you all for getting back to me with all this very useful information. I have now been able to fix the issue. Thanks again guys! Much appreciated
  2. Hello, Can anybody give me any tips on how I can make numbers align to the right on datapages please? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks for this @Vitalikssssss, but I'm not really sure what I need to do to import this into my Caspio Bridge so that I can take a look Could you kindly shed some light please? Many thanks
  4. Hi @Vitalikssssss, Sorry for the late acknowledgement to your reply to this thread, but I've been away on vacation Many thanks for your input, but I don't seem to be able to be able to figure it out from the script you have supplied... I guess I must be doing something wrong. Thanks again! Stephen
  5. Good day fellow Caspio developers, I have a DataPage where I have set up a link using the Link Menu generator found at https://b4.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=a3012000cb4d6f2877864fd4a875 that delivered the following script (where I have added a little font formatting too): <span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><a class="cbMenuItem" href="#" onclick="window.open(&quot;https://c0esh337.caspio.com/dp/cdemyDataPageAppKey?Dest_Country=[@field:Country_Name]&amp;Company_Name=[@field:Importer_Of_Record]&quot;,&quot;mywindow&quot;, &quot;menubar=1,resizable=1,width=500,height=700&quot;)">View IOR Contact Details</a></span></span> The general idea here is that when the user clicks on the link, it opens up a pop-up page displaying the Importer_Of_Record contact details and it works just fine for that purpose. However, there are instances in my data where there is no record in the Importer_Of_Record field and so when this is the case I would like the script to recognise this fact and hide the link. Is this possible and if so what changes do I need to make to my script? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks, Stephen
  6. Brilliant nightowl! You're a star! Thanks for sharing! It seems a little long winded, but it works. It's a pity Caspio doesn't have a simple formula like "Week" or "Weeknum" just like it has "Year" or alternatively enable the formula "DatePart(week,[@field:Date])" it suggests exists in the following article: https://howto.caspio.com/function-reference/
  7. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to make data entry into an input field conditional on a checkbox being check or not? I have a service parts catalogue table in my app. When users key in a new part code into the input datapage they have to check a checkbox (or not) to indicate whether the part code is serviceable or not. If serviceable, then I would like to force them to have to enter a from and to date. How can I enforce this? Any help would be much appreciated
  8. In MS Access it is possible to set up an input form so that if a value is missing from a given field's dropdown box the user can then add this on the fly by being taken to the appropriate input form and adding the missing value before returning to their starting input form to complete their initial intended data input. I have attached a pic of where this is done in MS Access properties. Is it possible to do this in Caspio DataPages? If so, how and where is this done? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  9. Excellent! This works. Many thanks for your help Jan
  10. Hi Jan, Many thanks for your response on this one. Much appreciated I tried what you suggested and it works in as much as the first update occurs and it opens the desired page, but the parameters are not being passed for some reason. I just copied and pasted the URL from my button syntax as follows, but just get an empty page loading: http://eu1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=cde830003b6480d47dba4737916c&Stk_ID=[@field:Stk_ID]&Product_Description=[@field:Product_Description]&Request_Qty=[@field:Request_Qty]&Requested_By=[@field:Requested_By] Any ideas why the passing of parameters is not occurring? Do I need to make any changes to the syntax? Thanks again. Stephen
  11. Hi, I have an inventory management style App in which I have a datapage where the warehouse operative can manage collection requests made from head office. The datapage shows all open collection requests and I want the users to be able to check a "Collected" check box to confirm collection (which closes off the collection request in the Shipments table), but I also want them to be able to receive the collected items back into inventory (updating the Products table). For the receiving back into inventory, I have created a control button that opens up a submission form for the Products table and carries over parameters to create the addition into inventory. The button works just fine and does what I want it to do, but I would like it to also close off the collection receipt too when I click it. At the moment the problem I have is that I can either click the checkbox on my collection datapage and update the shipments table by clicking the automatically added "Update" button... and then not have a receipt record created in the product table or I can click on the "Putaway Stock" button I created and receive the collected items back into inventory updating the Products table, but not both. Ideally I would like the standard "Update" button not to be there and to have my "Putaway Stock" button perform both tasks simultaneously. The script for my "Putaway Stock" button is currently as follows: <div style="margin:10px;"><a href="http://eu1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=cde830003b6480d47dba4737916c&Stk_ID=[@field:Stk_ID]&Product_Description=[@field:Product_Description]&Request_Qty=[@field:Request_Qty]&Requested_By=[@field:Requested_By]" style="background:rgb(50, 50, 50); padding:7px 20px; border:1px solid rgb(221, 221, 221); border-image:none:color:rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;white-space:nowrap;">Putaway Stock</a></div> What do I need to do to get it to perform both tasks? And how can I remove the standard "Update" button so that the user only has the one option? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  12. Hi Jan, Many thanks for the additional information. I now have it working just the way I want it to Thanks again! Have a great weekend! Stephen
  13. Hi Jan, Many thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. Much appreciated! The script you provided for the link works just fine: it prevents users form ordering items that are out of stock and it also passes the parameters to the Shipment Request DataPage as required for those items that are in stock. However, the small issue is that in terms of the greying out of the button this is happening on the wrong ones; i.e. those items that are available. How do I amend the code so that the correct buttons are not only disabled, but also greyed out in appearance? Thanks again for your help Stephen
  14. Hi there, In the App I am currently developing I have a "View Inventory" DataPage where my users can see (for a chosen product) what the starting inventory was A, how many units are reserved / shipped B and finally how many units are available C. C is a calculated field where C = A - B On this page I also have an HTML block with a control button that my users can click to create a shipment request, but I want this to be disabled when C = 0 because as it stands right now, there is nothing stopping them from ordering an item that is out of stock. The current code for my button is as follows: '<div style="margin: 10px;"><a href="http://eu1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=cde830001d57b1a237854adab459&Stock_ID=[@field:Stock_ID]&Product_Description=[@field:Product_Description]" style="background: rgb(61, 130, 171); padding: 7px 20px; border: 1px solid rgb(221, 221, 221); border-image: none; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold; text-decoration: none; white-space: nowrap;">Create Shipment Request</a></div>' I read on another post on here that the way to address this was to use Javascript, so following that advice I changed the code for my button the the following: <script type="text/javascript"> var cb_boolean = '[@calcfield:1]'; if (cb_boolean != '0') { document.write("<input type='button' value='Create Shipment Request' Name='mybutton' onclick='myfunction()'> "); } else { document.write("<input type='button' value='Out Of Stock!' Name='mybutton' disabled=true>"); } function myfunction() { window.location.href='http://eu1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=cde830001d57b1a237854adab459&Stock_ID=[@field:Stock_ID]&Product_Description=[@field:Product_Description]'; } </script> This worked in terms of disabling my button where C = 0, but then the parameters were no longer being passed to my shipment request DataPage. I suspect this is a syntax error of some sort, but being a newbie to the worlds of both HTML and Javascript I just don't know what I need to change. Any advice would be much appreciated Thanks
  15. Hi Barbara, Your reply to this post seems to address an issue I am having. However, not knowing a thing about JavaScript (nor HTML for that matter): I am not really sure how to apply this to my app. In my case I have a DataPage where my users can see the initial quantity of product (A), the shipped/ reserved quantity ( and then the available quantity: the latter being a calculated field [@calcfield:1] that is equal to (A) - ( . I then have an HTML block for my "Create Shipment Request" button. The source code for that is as follows (I copied this from another app): <div style="margin:10px;"><a href=http://eu1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=cde830001d57b1a237854adab459&Stock_ID=[@field:Stock_ID]&Product_Description=[@field:Product_Description] style="background:rgb(61, 130, 171); padding:7px 20px; border:1px solid rgb(221, 221, 221); border-image:none:color:rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;white-space:nowrap;">Create Shipment Request</a></div> Essentially, I would like this button to be greyed out when [@calcfield:1] = 0 so that my users cannot create a shipment request for something that is out of stock. I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me how amend my HTML block to get my desired result if you have the time. Thanking you in advance for your help! Stephen
