  1. Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible (and then how) to make a submission form invisible so the user doesn't see it at all (and not the 1 second flash normally with auto-submit)? I have one submission form that passes a parameter (after submit) to another submission form (that has js auto-submit code) so that the new autoID value from the first submission form can be pasted into a new record in a different table (via the 2nd submission form). I have to do it this way instead of using a trigger on the 1st submission form's table because of back-end sql triggers locking the table and not being able to use front-end triggers. So this is a workaround. It's really clunky and time consuming for the user to have the 2nd submission form open and 'flash' (whether the time interval is set to 500 or 1000 it still is ugly) before auto-submitting. I was hoping there'd be a different way to deploy the 2nd submission form, maybe in a web page that's on the server but doesn't 'show' or something like that. Any ideas? Thanks!
  2. Hi, Does anyone know how to put code in the footer of a Bulk Edit form so it auto-submits (so the user doesn't have to click the Update button)? This code: <script type="text/javascript"> if(document.getElementById("caspioform")) { document.getElementById("caspioform").style.display = 'none'; setTimeout('document.forms["caspioform"].submit()',1000); } </script> works only on a regular Update or Submission form. If you use it in Bulk Edit it just keeps refreshing the records over and over. So there must be some specific code for Bulk Edit. As well, if I can get Bulk Edit to auto-submit I'd like to remove he Update button so if anyone has code for that it'd be really great. Thanks!
  3. Hi all I have a simple datapage that submits a record to a table. values come from external parameters and it auto submits. This is the code I have at the HTML block: <script type="text/javascript"> if(document.getElementById("caspioform")) { document.getElementById("caspioform").style.display = 'none'; setTimeout('document.forms["caspioform"].submit()',1000); } </script> That works fine. What I want to do, if possible, is to add a a clause, if one of the receiving parameters is null, then do not submit the form (or cancel?). Any ideas? Thanks
  4. JavaScript Solution: Auto-Submit a DataPage Feature Description: This JavaScript solution shows how to auto-submit a DataPage. Caspio DataPage only submits to one table so if you need to perform submission to multiple tables you can use another DataPage and the following JavaScript to auto submit. The DataPage is the only one Caspio DataPage deployed on your web page. c. The "progress_bar" image exists on your site: www.yoursite.com/images/progress_bar.gif. To use this solution, copy the code below and paste inside the HTML Header section of the DataPage using the Caspio Bridge DataPage Wizard. <div align="center"> <p>Processing...</p> <img src="images/progress_bar.gif" alt="Progress Bar" width="200" height="15" /> </div> Then insert an HTML Block, copy the code below and paste inside the HTML Block section: <script type="text/javascript"> if(document.getElementById("caspioform")) { document.getElementById("caspioform").style.display = 'none'; setTimeout('document.forms["caspioform"].submit()',1000); } </script> In submission successful message area, click on Source button and paste the code below. <style type="text/css"> #processing{ display:none; } </style> Tested Browsers This JavaScript solution was tested on the following platforms and Internet Browsers only. # MS Windows - IE 10, Firefox 25.0.1, Chrome 31.0.1650.57, Safari 5.1.7 Disclaimer: Use these JavaScript solutions at your own risk!
