  1. Hello, I don't know if it's Wordpress issue but for some reason, whenever I deploy a datapage in iFrame, both wordpress code and html code, it wont receive any parameters however when using different deployment, it's working fine. Currently I deployed the datapage using the other means but I'd prefer using iFrame on some instances. Thank you.
  2. Hey, I was searching for a solution to pass browser parameter into another html page inside an iframe and I stumbled on a neat code and tweaked it. It worked for me so I'm sharing this here. http://help.pardot.com/customer/portal/articles/2126647-passing-url-parameters-from-browser-to-iframe <noscript> <iframe src="ParamCatch.html" width="100%" height="500" type="text/html" frameborder="0" style="border: 0"> </iframe> </noscript> <script type="text/javascript"> var form = 'ParamCatch.html'; var params = window.location.search; var thisScript = document.scripts[document.scripts.length - 1]; var iframe = document.createElement('iframe'); iframe.setAttribute('src', form + params); iframe.setAttribute('width', '100%'); iframe.setAttribute('height', 500); iframe.setAttribute('type', 'text/html'); iframe.setAttribute('frameborder', 0); iframe.setAttribute('allowTransparency', 'true'); iframe.style.border = '0'; thisScript.parentElement.replaceChild(iframe, thisScript); </script> My Test: - Two HTML pages, Main.html and ParamCatch.html ParamCatch.html contains the embedded DataPage set to receive parameter as filter for Tabular Report Main.html > contains the script above > tested using Main.html?paramname=paramvalue > ParamCatch.html got the parameters and displayed the correct data Cheers!
  3. I've been successfully passing parameters from a submission form, deployed as embedded in my web page, to a tab structure that contains several datapages for the results. This tab structure (also deployed embedded) is based on nested iframes and was built using Caspios embedded tab interface So far so good. Recently I modified the submission form by putting it in a tab structure with other submission form datapages. But this time I used the Ajax approach suggested by Caspio (http://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/advanced-customizations/create-tabbed-navigation-for-multiple-datapages/) because I was told that this would be more reliable for passing parameters than using a second iframe embedded structure on the same web page. So in summary I have submission form tabs (Ajax based), passing parameters to nested iframe tabs Unfortunately the parameters which used to be passed are no longer being passed. Any ideas?
  4. I have a DataPage deployed in Wix which deployed my DataPages as iFrame. I also have a hyperlink in my DataPage inserted in an HTML block but when I click this link, it just opens inside the iFrame and not in a new page. Is there any ways to fix this?
  5. Hi family, i am currently using the following code to set the height and width of the iframe deployment manually: <iframe name="Broker" title="Broker" src="https://c0dcv045.caspio.com/dp/aa4a60008d8bcb4785114729ba75" width=500 height=300>Sorry, but your browser does not support frames.</iframe> This is as given on caspio's site so i just adjust it to my datapage... However is very time consuming to have to pick and adjust the sizes everytime you deploy and given that the results will always grow as the system is used, the sizes must now be readjusted manually all the time. how do i set it to always fit the screen automatically, so that the sizes grow with the growing results.... much appreciated in advance
  6. I have a single record update form deployed on my webpage which contains an iframe inside an html block on the parent page. This iframe collects a signature. I need help getting the signature to pass to the parent page once the iframe has been submitted. How can I pass a parameter from an iframe to the parent page it is deployed in?
  7. I've got a dropdown menu that I need the links to run a function in order to open a new window (in '_self') and then change that new window's iframe source (same domain as parent). I'm calling the function from a linked js file that runs the code correctly but ONLY if the new window is opened in a new tab. I've seen a lot of posts about how to transfer the js function to the new window but none of them if it's opened '_self'. Here's what I have so far (It's on a test server right now, hence the 127 address for the js file): function newWindow() { var win = window.open('projects/project-dashboard','_self'); win.document.head.innerHTML = '<title></title></head>'; win.document.body.innerHTML = '<body></body>'; var script = document.createElement('script'); script.type = "text/javascript"; script.src = ''; win.document.head.appendChild(script); } The file js/projnav.js has a function that needs to run in the new window, and it does but only when opened in '_blank'. Does anyone know how to modify this to run the projnav.js function if the new window is opened in the same tab? Any help with this would be really appreciated!
  8. I am trying to deploy on iframe on my website. Iframe is the only deployment method available for me (for technical reasons). This is my deployment code: <iframe name="Add an Asset" title="Add an Asset" src="https://c0abf873.caspio.com/dp/896060006294dfe2bf154556bccc" width=100% height="100vh">Sorry, but your browser does not support frames.</iframe> The iframe works fine in the width (at 100%), but the height only seems to grow about 50% of what it needs. I see a vertical scrollbar that is unnecessary.I have also tried height=100% but this doesn't work at all. I also tried this in the Custom CSS with no better results: iframe { width: 100vw; height: 100vh; } Is there something I am missing here? Phil
  9. Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to automatically resize an iframe that contains a tabular report? I set the container iframe to a fixed width and height. However, that gives me too much space upon hitting the Search button and viewing the results page, which is larger than the search form. I tried searching online but no luck. Please help. Thanks in advance. -dspolyglot
  10. Hi, I used the IFrame Embedded Tabbed Deployment instructions located on the Caspio Advanced customizations page. The iframe is working as designed but I'm having an issue with a report datapage included in the frame not refreshing. I have 4 Caspio datapages included in the frame. The first page 1-0 is a submission form that directs the user after submit to the second page 1-1 a tabular report. The second page 1-1 tabular report includes an Href link to a 3rd page 1-2 another submission form. The 3rd page 1-2 submission form directs the user back to 1-1 the tabular report w/href link in case the user needs to make additional requests. The 4th page 1-3 is a tubular report that displays all information submitted using the href link on the 3rd page 1-1 tabular report via the submission form on 1-2. My issue is the following: When I direct the 3rd page 1-2 after submit back to 1-1 with HREF link so that additional user requests can be made the Iframe does not update the report page 1-3. I have to manually refresh 1-3 to see the submission made on page 1-2. If I change the redirect of the 3rd page 1-2 after submit to the tabular report page 1-3 directly the report refreshes correctly in real-time without having to manually refresh. I'm trying to determine if a page has to actively be 'touched' in the iframe for updated table information to display without a manual refresh of the page. From a user perspective I'd like to make all my requests first (page 1-1/submission from 1-2) and then view the report (1-3) to confirm and check status. I don't think the user experience should be to view the report after every selection if other requests need to be made. As always I appreciate any feedback that can be provided. Thank you. Bre
  11. Hi, I've got 3 result datapages. Each is a tab in an iframe container, that I've created using the Caspio embeddable tabbed interface code. 1) Does anyone know how I can reference and control the default tab? 2) How can I call / select a particular tab from outside the iframe? Thanks for any help!
  12. Morning, I'm trying to use cbResetParam=1 on the end of my webpage URL to reset internal parameters, and normally this works fine But this time I'm giving the instruction from inside my search form which is in an iframe, and nothing's working. Should I be applying 'cbResetParam=1' to the webpage URL, or to the scr URL (as I've tried to do below)? At the moment I've put the following code in an HTML block of my search form and run it off a button. <script> function myResetFunction() { document.getElementById('https://c2ect538.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=b8a94000367dd...').src += '&cbResetParam=1'; } </script> Many thanks for any help...
  13. In Caspio when I do a preview (see right photo), the form i designed looks just fine, and without lines. After deploying the data in Wordpress (see left photo), the layout is completely different with lines etc. and very much not ok. How to get the exact layout as seen in Caspio preview, so without lines etc. Current Wordpress version: 4.7.2 (the latest) Plugin: Custom Database Applications by Caspio version 2.0 What to do? Also, when using iframe, i get a very small frame with the form. All settings say 100% for the form size. See second photo.
  14. Does anyone know if it's possible to have the logout link working from inside an iframe on a webpage? At present, I've positioned the usual logout link in the iframe but I can't seem to escape the iframe when I try to logout. Any ideas? Thanks.
  15. I have a form that has two embedded forms (iframe datapage deployment) First subform is a submission form and the second a single record update form. I have a javascript function that is run by clicking on a button in the parent form that randomly selects a record whose parameters are then passed to both of the embedded forms. After the action is completed, I want to submit both of the embedded forms, without submitting or reloading the parent form, because the action can potentially be repeated. I have tried several options, but can't get the submit to work. Below is my javascript funtion as I have it now. The names of my iframe forms are Form a - embeddedsubmitform Form b - embeddedupdateform Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you <script> function getemprec() { var radget = document.forms[0].elements["cbParamVirtual5"]; //this is radio button that will determine the number of times the function will be run for (var i=0; i<radget.length;i++) { if(radget.checked) { var S1 = radget.value; } } var S2 = Number(S1); var E1 = document.getElementsByName("cbParamVirtual4")[0].length; //this returns a list of total records in the system var E2 = Number(E1); var E3 = E2/S2; var S3 = Number(E3); document.getElementById("InsertRecordNumber_of_Screens").value = S3; var scrtyp = document.getElementById("InsertRecordScreening_type").value; var scrdate = document.getElementById("InsertRecordDate_of_Screens").value; var T1 = document.getElementsByName("InsertRecordEmployees")[0].length; var n1 = Number(T1); var n2 = n1 - 1; var numb = Math.floor(Math.random()*n2); var numb2 = Number(numb); document.getElementsByName("InsertRecordEmployees")[0].selectedIndex = numb2; var reclist = document.getElementsByName("InsertRecordEmployees")[0]; var recvalue = reclist.options[reclist.selectedIndex].value; document.getElementById("cbParamVirtual2").value = recvalue; document.getElementById("embeddedsubmitform").src ='../pages/submit.html?SelEmp_Rec_ID='+recvalue+"&Screen_Type="+scrtyp; document.getElementById("embeddedupdateform").src ='../pages/update.html?DS_Emp_Rec_ID='+ recvalue+"&DS_date="+scrdate; document.getElementsByName("embeddedsubmitform").submit(); document.getElementsByName("embeddedupdateform").update(); } </script>
  16. Hello, I have a search and report datapage where I have added an HTML block in the results section which has an iFrame element inside of it. I am trying to accomplish this: User processes a search, results are shown where some results will equal saved results from another table. So table (A) produces results that I want to cross-check to table (B). If there is a match based on an ID field in both tables (A+B), I want the iFrame element to show basic data (timestamp & user name). I was successful in doing this part... Here is where I am having problems.... If table (B) does NOT match (right now shows "No record found."), I want the iFrame to show another datapage which is a form submit (this is the form that copies the data from table (A) to table (B). I am actually able to get both of these parts working, but I cant get them to work together. So I can either get the results page to show a button that says "save" and then it saves that data from table (A) to table (B). But then it won't show the timestamp and user name after a page refresh. Or I can get the results page to show timestamps and user names even after a page refresh, but then I can't get the "Save" button/option to show. I need some sort of Javascript if/then option. Thank you for ANY help with this!!!
  17. Hi all, I am looking for a working solution to resize iframe height and width. I have used an iframe to embed a submission form on my website. This form has various rules (4 in total) in place so as per option selected by the users , the form will change its height. Ideally, I would like to resize the iframe accordingly. Will appreciate if somebody could share a successful solution they might have come across? I have browsed a bit and found an interesting discussion thread on stack overflow . I tried various alternatives BUT with no success! The code that I have currently embedded on the webpage is below, ------------------------ <head> <script language="JavaScript"> function autoResize(id){ var newheight; var newwidth; if(document.getElementById){ newheight = document.getElementById(id).contentWindow.document .body.scrollHeight; newwidth = document.getElementById(id).contentWindow.document .body.scrollWidth; } document.getElementById(id).height = (newheight) + "px"; document.getElementById(id).width = (newwidth) + "px"; } </script> </head> <body> <iframe src="Caspio. URL of Datapage" width="100%" id="iframe1" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" onLoad="autoResize('iframe1');"></iframe></body> ---------------------- Any help most welcome! Thanks in advance. K

  19. I Have 4 Separate data pages that share 1 authentication. my first problem is i cant get the data page to stay logged in while its in an i frame. unfortunately i have it deployed on a mobile app and the only way that it will work is in an i frame. any other deployment method and i get error UNSAFE REDIRECT My second Problem is that i have cross app login enabled, which works perfectly with URL or html deployment so i know its properly set up, however i can not get it to work in my i frames. I'm sure the problem is in sending the parameters because I've had to switch to string quarry strings however i cant find a way to pass the password as a parameter. Any Ideas on how to fix it so the customer doesn't have to log in in each window?
  20. Hi, I'm looking for opinions on the two methods Caspio suggests in 'Tech Tips' on how to create a tabbed interface. One is with a javascript, and the other is with nested iframes. js: http://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/advanced-customizations/create-tabbed-navigation-for-multiple-datapages/ iframe: http://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/advanced-customizations/create-embeddable-tabbed-interface/ Does anyone have a preference for one over the other? Thanks
  21. Hello there, I have two iFrames inside an HTML Page; one is a Submission Form, the other is a Report shown as Tabular. The iFrame with the Tabular Report receives parameters once you press "Submit" on the iFrame containing the Submission Form. It works, but I have to refresh the HTML Page in order for the changes to show in the Tabular Report. What I want is the iFrame containing the Tabular Report (or the entire HTML Page, either way is good) to refresh once i press "Submit" on the iFrame containing the Submission Form, so that the changes will show automatically after i send the parameters. Can it be done? Any help on this matter is appreciated!
  22. Good afternoon all, I am changing the source of an iframe based on a button press that runs a script. The url of the page the button is on is as follows: https://www.mysite.com/job-dash.html?Job_RID=1&Market_RID=1&Port_RID=1 And the javascript changes the iframe source to: src=https://c0eru288.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=[redacted]?Job_RID=[@Job_RID]&Market_RID=[@Market_RID]&Port_RID=[@Port_RID] Now it is receiving the Job_RID no problem, but is unable to capture the Market or Port RID’s Is there some trick I am missing in passing parameters from the URL into the iframe? The datapage itself is set to receive these parameters. I have made the fields on the datapage visible to ensure that it wasn't the page (they work fine in previews) but I am encountering this issue in multiple places when it comes to multiple parameters and iframes. Any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you!
  23. Hello All! I am trying to figure out how to refresh an iframe from a popup window. I can do it when the popup is called from the main page (ADDing records), but I can't figure it out for a popup that is called from within the iframe (EDITing records). In addition to residing within an iframe the button to call the EDIT popup is a Caspio Data Page and is built from javascript during page load. Please consider the following scenario. (I removed classes, titles, and other irrelevant items for simplicity) Main Page: <div id="vehicles"> <div class="frmHeader"> <h2>Vehicles</h2> <a onclick="popupWindow('addVehicle.html')"></a><!-- ADD vehicle --> <a onclick="ifrRefresh('ifrVehicle')"></a> </div> <iframe src="lic/vehicle.html" name="ifrVehicle" id="ifrVehicle"></iframe> </div> Iframe Content html file: <div id="ifrContentVehicle" class="ifrContent killHeader"> <script src="/scripts/e1.js"></script> <script>try{f_cbload("***","http:");}catch(v_e){;}</script> </div> Iframe Content after load: <div id="ifrContentVehicle" class="ifrContent killHeader"> <form id="caspioform"> <div> <table name="cbTable"> <tbody> <tr> <td> <a onclick="popupWindow('editVehicle.html?VehicleID=*')"></a><!--EDITv--> ... Add Vehicle: <script> window.onunload = refreshParent; function refreshParent() { window.opener.ifrVehicle.location.reload(); } </script> This works to refresh my iframe named ifrVehicle. However, I cannot get it to work with the Edit popup. Any help will be greatly appreciated! CHAD
