  1. I have a submission form that have 2 date inputs and I would like to cancel a submission if these 2 inputs are the same date. This will prevent having "bad data" on my tables, not just an error message that a user can ignore and click submit anyway.
  2. Hi there. I was trying to find a way to preview a PDF file before it is uploaded in a DataPage. The flow described in this article works for images only: https://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/advanced-customizations/preview-an-image-before-it-is-uploaded-in-a-datapage/ Here is a solution I came up with: <script> const HTMLFileInput = document.getElementById("EditRecordFile_1"); HTMLFileInput.addEventListener("change", event => { const src = URL.createObjectURL(event.target.files[0]); const outputWidth = window.getComputedStyle(HTMLFileInput.parentElement.parentElement).getPropertyValue('width') const outputHeight = parseInt(outputWidth.replace('px',''))*1.3+'px' if(document.querySelector('#output')==null) { HTMLFileInput.parentElement.insertAdjacentHTML('afterend', `<iframe src="${src}" width="${outputWidth}" height="${outputHeight }" id="output" class="cbFormFieldCell">IFRAME IS NOT SUPPORTED IN YOUR BROWSER</iframe>`) } else { document.querySelector('#output').setAttribute("src", src) } }) </script> Just substitute EditRecordFile_1 with id of your file input. You can also tweak the value of width and the height of the iframe so it fits your usual pdf file size. Hope this helps
  3. Hi, I have a date field in my submission form and I want to prevent the user from selecting a date that is not within a specified range of dates. Like for example, I only want the user to input dates that are within 12/01/2022 to 12/12/2022. Any dates that are not within that period will not be allowed.
  4. Hi all, I cannot seem to overcome an issue with the use of Javascript on a bulk edit screen. There is a basic little script I wrote to control when users should be notified about changes done in bulk. It should simply prevent notifications from being sent if the user did not alter the initial delivery status of a product. While the script itself executes just fine upon each change to the delivery status field, the value that gets inserted into the text field which toggles the actual notifications isn't being saved when I hit "Update". It works if I manually type in Yes or No, but not if it's done via the script. I suspect this has to do with Ajax in one way or another, about which I lack the necessary knowledge to troubleshoot, unfortunately. var pSDeliveryOld = document.getElementById("BulkEditParticipation_List_2016_Delivery_status").value; var dStatusChangeNotification = document.getElementById("BulkEditParticipation_List_2016_Notification_DStatusChange"); function statusCheck() { var pSDeliveryNew = document.getElementById("BulkEditParticipation_List_2016_Delivery_status").value; if(pSDeliveryOld !== pSDeliveryNew) { dStatusChangeNotification.value = "Yes"; } else { dStatusChangeNotification.value = "No"; } console.log("System to send notification: " + dStatusChangeNotification.value); } document.getElementById("BulkEditParticipation_List_2016_Delivery_status").onchange = statusCheck; Could one of you experts out there help me get the Yes/No value saved in the table? Many thanks in advance! Best, Kristof
  5. Can anybody tell me what I need to do to make data entry into an input field conditional on a checkbox being check or not? I have a service parts catalogue table in my app. When users key in a new part code into the input datapage they have to check a checkbox (or not) to indicate whether the part code is serviceable or not. If serviceable, then I would like to force them to have to enter a from and to date. How can I enforce this? Any help would be much appreciated
