  1. Hi folks I wanted to share a cool code with everyone when you press the Submit Button on a Form. Well when you press the Submit Button with a file in it to load and there is a unique field in it (such as a Username for a registration form), there's a bit of a delay until you ge to the confirmation screen. This confuses the Submitter and may press the button again - which results in an error because now the form is submitted twice but the same username was alreast submitted on the first form Anyway you want a Loading screen to pop up. Caspio should have this simple feature for a "low coding" platform! In your header drop this code (#Submit is the submit button - on an update form its something different, #processing is the name of my div that will show the processing window after submission): <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $("#Submit").click(function(){ $("#processing").css({"display":"table"}); }); }); </script> In the Footer drop this: <div id="processing" style="display:none;background-color:rgba(222,200,70,0.9);height:100vh;width:100vw;position:fixed;top:0;"><br/><br/><span style="display:table;height:75wh;margin:auto;top:0;bottom:0;left:0;right:0;">Processing, Please Wait....<br/><br/><img style="display:table;margin:auto;" src="http://skquares.com/processing.gif"></img><br/<br/></span></div> ------- thats it! Notice the display is set to none because you dont want to show the window until the Submit button is pressed via the Jquery script. Notice the height and width are set to the size of the screen with a position of fixed, top:0 - so that the whole screen is covered but you can shrink it by putting less width and height; background is my own color choice but you can change that - note leave the opacity not at 100% but I have it at 90%(0.9) so that the user can still see the form a little. Also, http://skquares.com/processing.gif is where i store MY image so you have to change it to where you image is hosted (but you could use mine i guess). Ok I hope this helps!
  2. I am trying to allow for this JQuery tag affect to occur when the user types in to the text area in the virtual field of my submission form but have not been successful. Disclosure: Since I am new to Javascript, I was wondering if I am referencing the JQuery and Tag-It components properly? I attempted switching the id/class element with "cbParamVirtual1" and "caspioform" but no luck. I would appreciate anyone's feedback. (This is in the footer of the datapage.) <!-- jQuery (necessary for Bootstrap's JavaScript plugins) --><script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script><script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.9.2/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/tag-it/2.0/js/tag-it.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <script language="JavaScript"> $(function(){ //------------------------------- // Single field //------------------------------- $('cbParamVirtual1').tagit({ // This will make Tag-it submit a single form value, as a comma-delimited field. singleField: true, singleFieldDelimiter: ',', singleFieldNode: $('#mySingleField') }); }); </script>
  3. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Okay, I have a script that I think should work, but I can't get it to function....Here it is: <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.2.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $("#caspioform").submit( function() { var selectedopts = $('[name=cbParamVirtual1]').getChildren(); for(i=0;i<selectedopts.length;i++) { if(selectedopts[i].val() == '') { return false; } } }); </script> The script is trying to validate the input (into a text field via barcode scanner) against a hidden dropdown (virtual field "cbParamVirtual1").... Event handler question/issues: CURRENTLY, the barcode scanner, as it scans, it hits "enter" (like a keyboard enter, I think) at the same time submitting the form I need the above code to keep it from submitting if the value isn't in the dropdown Is ".submit" the correct event handler for this? ...or do I use ".keypress"? maybe something else? Location of script question Do I put the script in the form's footer or header...or should I put this in the header of the webpage where it's embeded? I'm confused about when to use the form's header/footer vs the webpage header One more detail that I left out is that I have an iframe code deployed in the footer of the form...it's the only way I could get a report to update as the form (also in an iframe) is submitted....it works well, even though I've read you can't deploy inside another datapage.... that seems doesn't seem to hold true with iframes. However, would I need to change the form name above if I have the 2nd datapage deployed in the footer of the form????
  4. Hi! I'm testing a JQuery script to hide/show divs and it's working successfuly, and I consider this approch very nice to hide/show fields, because it does not cause any problem with alignment of the fields! This solution as is requires we click in the respective weblink to show and hide the fields! But I need to make a little change, I would like to trigger this function when the corresponding checkbox is checked, e.g. when the checkbox "x" is checked show div "x", and when it is unchecked hide div "x"! The triggers to call this function would be the following: 1) "Ir para o Trabalho" checkbox instead "Show/hide_1" weblink! 2) "Ir para o Colégio/ Faculdade/ Pós Graduação" checkbox instead "Show/hide_2" weblink! Please, could someone help me set these triggers? My url page is: http://sa1.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=58733000aac8a3fdae8b45deb24a The script I'm using is the following: <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".slidingDiv1").hide(); $(".show_hide1").show(); $('.show_hide1').click(function(){ $(".slidingDiv1").slideToggle(); }); }); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $(".slidingDiv2").hide(); $(".show_hide2").show(); $('.show_hide2').click(function(){ $(".slidingDiv2").slideToggle(); }); }); </script> Best! Luiz
  5. Hi, I have an html page with 2 datapages in it. Both are in their own divs. I'm trying to get the second div called 'callback' to refresh every 6 seconds. I've got this javascript to do it function autoRefresh_div() { $("#callback").load("https://c1eru548.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=f6344000919808bbf8fb4bb59cec&xip_Email=[@authfield:Email]&xip_Current_Password=[@authfield:Current_Password]"); } setInterval('autoRefresh_div()', 6000) The URL in the js is the deployment URL from Caspio for the datapage I want refreshing. Users login into the app and the first page they get is this html page. Both divs load fine at this stage. After 6 seconds the second div refreshes fine, but the system is putting up the User Name and Password fields again so they have to login again. As you can see I've tried to add these parameters to the URL so it autologs in. However, if I paste the URL it to the same brower window where the two Datapages are it works fine. So it works if I open it in a full pages after the initial login, but it won't work if it's refreshing a div in the same page. Any help much appriciate.
  6. Hi, I have an html page with 2 datapages in it. Both are in their own divs. I'm trying to get the second div, called 'callback', to refresh every 6 seconds. I don't want to refresh the first div. I've got this javascript to do it function autoRefresh_div() { $("#callback").load("https://c1eru548.caspio.com/dp.asp?AppKey=f6344000919808bbf8fb4bb59cec&Email=[@authfield:Email]&Current_Password=[@authfield:Current_Password]"); } setInterval('autoRefresh_div()', 6000); The URL in the function autoRefresh_div is the deployment URL from Caspio for the datapage I want refreshing. Users login into the app and the first page they get is this html page. After 6 seconds the second div refreshes fine, but the system is putting up the standard User Name and Password fields again in the second div, so the user has to login again. The first div isn't doing anything which is the desired action. As you can see I've tried to add these parameters to the URL so it autologs in. Unforutnately it isn't working. If anyone has any ideas that woud be great. Thanks
  7. I know that there are jquery tools used to completely customize standard form elements such as checkboxes, radio buttons, and dropdown menus. Are there any scripts and ways of styling them in Caspio? If so, what's the easiest way to go about doing it?
