  1. The scripts below will let you have a different button style when a Datapage is opened on a mobile device. Technically you will have 2 different buttons with the same action/use, 1 for the mobile view and 1 for the desktop view.First, create a header and footer field, disable the HTML editor, and put the following STYLE in the header <style> input[name="MobileButton"]{ display: none !important; } /*this line will hide the mobile*/ button by default input[name="searchID"]{ display: none !important;} /* this will hide the actual button that*/ comes with the DataPage. @media (max-width: 640px) { /*this part will detect the width of the screen*/ input[name="MobileButton"] { display: block !important;} input[name="PCButton"] { display: none !important;} } </style> Once that is done, create an HTML BLOCK, disable the HTML editor and paste the following code: <input type="submit" name= "PCButton" class="cbSearchButton" value="THIS IS THE DESKTOP BUTTON"> <input type="submit" name="MobileButton" class="cbSearchButton" value="THIS THE MOBILE BUTTON" > NOTE: you can also put the above code in the footer. It just depends on the look that you want to achieve. I also changed the value for the 2 button so you can see them change when changing screensize.
  2. I have a comma-delimited value of different choices that my users picked from a different form. Now I want to create a new DataPage (tabular report) that will get this data and convert to a yes/no field Ex. apple, orange, pear will turn to: apple | Orange | Pear | Mango Y Y Y N
  3. Hi! There is a Tabular report with a comment field (Text64000). I want to add a "Copy Text" button, that on click will copy text from the comment field to the Clipboard, so a customer can copy the text without highlighting and copying. Just one click action to copy. I have found some solution, but it does not look like working in the reports: https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howto_js_copy_clipboard.asp Has anybody done it before or maybe you have some working solution? Thanks in advance.
  4. I'd like to add some HTML to my Datapage to conditionally change the color of a report's background and text color based on the value of a calculated field. This field finds the number of days left until a project is due. I'd like to change the text color of this field to red and the background to yellow if it is past due (if the days left are negative). I know there are a couple of other pre-existing threads on this topic but for some reason I am having no luck. I pasted these in the source of my header but they had no effect. Let me know if you see anything wrong with my formulas: //for the background <a id="visi[@calcfield:1#]"> <script> var isi = document.getElementById("visi[@calcfield:1#]"); if(isi < 0){ isi.parentNode.parentNode.style.backgroundColor = 'red'; } else{ isi.parentNode.parentNode.style.backgroundColor = '#NoColor'; } </script></a> //for the text <div id="mydiv[@calcfield:1#]"> </div> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> if ("[@calcfield:1#]" < "0"){ document.getElementById("mydiv[@calcfield:1#]").innerHTML ="<span style='color:red;'> [@calcfield:1#] </span>"; } </SCRIPT>
  5. I have two tables. In the top table I have data pulling in to the table using API calls. It currently pulls in the ID number of the location and not the locations Name. I would like the ID number to change to the store location name as soon as it hits the table using the bottom left table that shows the Store name and the ID associated with the name. The bottom right table shows what I would like is to have the top table Page_ID field to be replaced by the ID in the bottom table. The final result would be what the bottom right table would like like. I tried a trigger but I couldn't figure out how to make it work.
  6. Hi. I have a datapage that I print often. It's a Details Datapage, and I print the Details Page. I've gone through the style assigned to my document, and reduced the side of text from 12 to 10 in settings (in a number of places). The text appears smaller in the window, but when I print it, the text is the same size as it was. The text of the document is too big and I'd like to reduce its size somewhat. How could that be done? Thanks.
  7. We have run across a problem when pasting text into a text box on an entry or edit datapage. If you paste text that has an apostrophe (or bullet points as well) Caspio turns the punctuation mark into a black diamond with a question mark in the middle. The next time you pull up the record, all the black diamonds will be replaced with the text string "". If you enter an apostrophe from the keyboard directly into the text box, it stays as it should. I mostly see this behavior when pasting from MS Word. Although it happens when pasting from a website at times. I guess I have 2 questions. First, is it possible to keep formatting in a text field? Or second, is it possible to paste the information just as text?
