  1. I am trying to create an app for horse show points tracking. The table Results has the fields Rider ID, Class ID, Class Type, and Points Rider1 | Class02 | ClassTypeA | 4 Rider1 | Class03 | ClassTypeA | 5 Rider1 | Class04 | ClassTypeA | 5 Rider1 | Class05 | ClassTypeA | 5 Rider1 | Class11 | ClassTypeA | 5 Rider1 | Class12 | ClassTypeA | 5 Rider1 | Class06 | ClassTypeA | 3 Rider1 | Class08 | ClassTypeA | 1 Rider1 | Class09 | ClassTypeA | 3 Rider1 | Class13 | ClassTypeB | 5 Rider1 | Class14 | ClassTypeB | 4 Rider1 | Class15 | ClassTypeB | 2 Rider1 | Class16 | ClassTypeB | 1 When we do our year end calculations, I need to find out the sum of each Rider's top six (highest Points value) Results for each Class Type (ie for Class Type A the bolded values). What would be ideal would be to have this eventually input into a new table with the following columns: Rider ID, Class Type A (sum of top 6), Class Type B, etc Rider1 | 29 | 12 | Etc I have been trying to use a Task to input the values I can use into a new table but I can't seem to get values that account for needing the top 6 for _each_ Rider and _each_ Class Type, unless I do one for each rider and class type combination, which would be waaaay too many tasks to do. (see image, nomination_id is Rider ID in my example). Is there some other way I should be going about this that I am missing?
  2. Hello, Issue: My trigger action is not processing the Having statement in the Where clause. I barely know SQL and while the 30 minute Caspio webinar on Trigger Actions was helpful, the action I am attempting was not covered. I have a parent table and a child table, their common field is NTAID. I am trying to use a trigger action on Inserted/Updated/Deleted to quantify the number of records in the child table for the NTAID and assign a category to each parent record. The purpose of the categories is I need to use the field in the parent record to create filter views of the parent table for another data page. Some portions of my Update trigger actions work - I have four Updates. The Update for categorizing "Regional" is not occurring under any circumstances, and "Local" categorization is occurring even if the Count in the Having clause exceeds the limitation. I reversed the order of these two Updates and that did not alter the outcome. The other two updates run flawlessly. I appreciate any assistance in the proper set-up of these trigger actions. Thank you!
  3. I aim to add unique values in a support table on which I hope to build a graphical report On Insert into the T_EA_Entities table (which is child table linked to the main Activities table, and data is entered via a child form on the Activity Data Page) I want to insert unique Entity IDs associated with the Activity stored in a separate table called T_EA_Entities_Unique. NB: T-EA_Entities stores nect to Entities also sometimes multiple contact persons for an entity (= multiple records) I have attached the Trigger Action. This Action only adds one Entity ID to the T_EA_Entities_Unique table, instead of the multiple who are entered via the DataPage in the T_EA_Entities table. Does anyone have an idea how to modify the Trigger Action so it will add multiple values to the table?
