Limit invalid login attempts

randallsla

Question

Does anyone have a process for preventing hackers from using brute strength attempts where they just keep trying (with bots) multiple passwords and ID's?  In the past I've used many systems where they lock you out after 3 attempts.   Has anyone constructed something like that with Caspio?  If not, what are alternative solutions?

Hi @randallsla,

There is no feature in Caspio Authentication which could lock the account after certain number of unsuccessful attempts.

You may truck number of login attempts with User Logs features. You can restrict the access to the Datapages for certain IP`s if you notice some unusual activity of under some IP address.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

Recently, Caspio released a new feature called Directories. Caspio Directories is an enterprise-grade identity and access management service. It allows your app end users to access applications securely in the cloud.

With Directory Security, you can now set up 2FA in your application, and you can now also limit the number of failed attempts.
