Search form same page: HOLD search criteria after hitting Search

I have a DP with a search field up top (2 fields)  and results displayed underneath, with a Details option that also show the data underneath the search field.

Right after I hit Search on the search fields it resets to empty.  I would like whatever was entered in the two search fields to remain after hitting Search AND after showing details.

You should passs and receive the external parameter on the search form:

Hi there, I'm just curious if this issue still persists on your end? I checked my reports DataPage with a search form and tried to enter values and then hit search but I don't seem to replicate the issue that you are having. If you can provide a URL of a test DataPage where you can replicate the issue, maybe I can help you in figuring this out.
