Agria
Hi, I have a dropdown field, over a long list (e.g. items). I MS Access you can start entering text and the dropdown will complete it for you. Can I do the same on Caspio? Autocomplete is not a good solution as I want to write the display value and enter the ID under it to the actual field. Thanks in advance. Arie DeVeer. 0 TellMeWhy
I'm not sure if that's possible with Caspio. You can type on the Dropdown field, and it will change the value according to what you typed, but you will not be able to see suggestions like in the Autocomplete fields If you mean you want to have different Field for Display and Field for Value, there is a workaround using Autocomplete if that's what you want to achieve. Step1. Use a virtual field for your autocomplete (Field for Display) Step2 . Use your actual field, set as Cascading Text Field, set its Parent Field as the Virtual Field in Step1, set Cascaded By to the field you are using for the Step 1. set its Field for Value to ID, and then hide this field That way, you will only see the autocomplete field, type in there, and the actual field will take in the ID that corresponds to what you typed in Autocomplete Field.
