Does Caspio set the default password when a user forgot to insert a password on a non-required field?

Hi @Hayley, Caspio does not set a default password on blank password datatype due to security reasons. Also, please note that if you use "password" datatype for this field in the table all the values are encrypted and show like ********. You are not able to see passwords, but you can set new values.

Yes, Just to correct this idea, Caspio sets a default secured password which you cannot see, but can change. It's not supposed to be blank initially because it is always required. But we will not be able to see what is set unless we change it.

If you want, you can use JavaScript to set a default password, if it's blank, it will be the default password, or if you want to hide the password field and just want the user to change upon first login or whatnot, just set the value of the field to the said default password before submit.
