Learning Management System integration (API noob question)

Hi,

This is an API noob question...
We have a Caspio database where staff mebers have their own login to access various parts of the application. 
We would like to set up a learning management system (LMS) for training and education, including online learning materials, quizzes etc.

What we want to achieve is that we can enrol users in a course on the Caspio end, allow them to access the LMS with their Caspio login credentials (or automatically via link), complete the course and Caspio then to retrieve their test result and/or information about course completion such as yes/no, completion date etc. 

One LMS that I have looked at is TalentLMS and they have API information  here  https://www.talentlms.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/TalentLMS-API-Documentation.pdf

I was hoping to (with your help) get my head around whether TalentLMS would be an appropriate LMS to do this.
