Submitting Search Results to Shopping Cart

I haven't seen this exact question posted on here.

I need to be able to send the results of a search to a shopping cart, so that after the customer searches for the product they need, they can click a \"Purchase\" button and the results will be sent to the cart.

Is that possible?
