IF Java Script Help

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to set the value of a Virtual field based on a value of a field on my form.

Form Type = Search and Report (details updateable)

NPS_Score = number field

tblTechs_Email = text field

Here is my script that is in the form footer

function sendto()

document.getElementById('caspioform').cbParamVirtual1.value = \"joe@test.com\";

document.getElementById('caspioform').cbParamVirtual1.value = document.getElementById("EditRecordtblTechs_Email");

There are some syntax errors on your code. For example when you use an if statement you should not end with ; and make sure if you open a parentheses you also close it. I recommend to take a look at the sample scripts that are available at Bridge How To section viewforum.php?f=13.

Another fix in your code is when you call the virtual field, you can use it as:

document.getElementById("cbParamVirtual1").value = "joe@test.com";

I hope this helps.
