0 timKman
What version of Access is that? I pasted your characters into an Access 2007 table, and they seemed to import okay. For 2007, if you choose XML as the export format, and select More options..., it allows you to specify UTF-8 or UTF-16 for encoding. If an older version of Access, it may not be putting it into Unicode format; maybe there are some different options you can select on the Access side. 0 iammax
Thanks - having an older access file so that may be the problem. Will try and upgrade and then import again. Max
0 iammax
I transformed the file to newer version of ACCESS (2003) and then exported data to an xml file. Verified the file and it was found ok. Tried to import in Caspio but got error message saying the file was corrupt. What?
0 iammax
What a muddle-head I am - I tried to import an access or xml file into DataPages..........and that of course did not work. Importing into tables worked fine. However - even after upgrading access file to 2003 the symbols åäö do not work. Maybe I need to export from access to xml and chose some special setting? 0 bahar_vm
Make sure you are under Tables section and then try importing. The error you have mentioned happens when you are under DataPages and use import menu item which in this case will give you the error because you have to be under Tables not DataPages. 0 iammax
Thanks - yes that was the case for me when trying to import. I got this link from Caspios excellent support: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5592 That gave the answer! Cheers, Max
