setup a field with a required number of characters (in this case, 7 digits)

I am trying to set up a field to require 7 characters (these will be digits) so that leading zeros are provided. I know how to do this in Excel, but can't figure out how to do it in the field design of a table in Caspio.

As I understood, the user should not be able to enter a value that has less than 7 characters. Is it correct?

Do the users enter the value manually? Or can they select the value from the list?

Do you need to apply this solution on the Submission form? 

To be able to store the value with leading zeros please use the Text(255) data type in the Table.
