passing paremeter from password protection page

hi,

I am making one small application in which after login i want to pass First name of user in session.

But in login form I am only using 2 field:-

1. Email Address

2.Password

but I need First name on next page.

so, how i will pass first name from login form?

please help me ASAP.

You need to have first name in the authentication table as well otherwise how can system tell what the name is?
