Allow Users To Convert Details Page Into Pdf Reports

Question

I'm relatively new to caspio, but I'm using it for darn near every aspect of my work lately.  I think I can get to a point where I have a nice HHTML data page that looks like a report, with set headers and such.

What I REALLY want is to give users the option of converting a data page into PDF document they can easily print.  Is this going to be a third party kind of thing?  Or can I convert HTML into PDF if it's in java script?  Full disclosure: I am NOT a programmer AT ALL!  Caspio sure makes me look a lot more clever than I am, but I think this "print as pdf" option would really help me with my last piece.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi @mdeevers,

There's a new feature in Caspio which you can find here: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-bridge-13-0/

This release includes a new feature of PDF Download option that allows you to download your displayed reports from Results Page as a PDF File.

However, this feature only converts Results Page to PDF. If you want  to print the Details Page, you might want to check this PDF Generator:

 https://forums.caspio.com/topic/4911-wanted-to-share-this-third-party-pdf-generator/?page=0#comment-15421

I hope this helps!

Hi, just to add in the previous comments above, a new PDF download option is available for the details pages of Reports, Calendars, Combined Chart and Reports, Details and Pivot Table DataPages. The PDF configuration for details pages is similar to the existing options available on results pages.

Learn more about PDF reports generation.

Hi everyone!  Caspio has new update and enhancement about PDF Documents. You can now insert PDF documents on results pages in addition to details pages. You can now as well customize the “Download PDF” action link using the associated style and localization, or create a custom display during DataPage configuration.

It is available in R31 version: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-31-0/
