How to remove blank row in listbox

I have been trying to use the code in the link below to help remove a blank row appearing at the top of my listbox

I couldn't get it to work, and Caspio's Technical Help confirmed that the code won't work in a submission form, only in a report datapage.
I tried using a 'view' of the data, but this didn't work either.

Anyone got any ideas for removing a blank row in a listbox in a submission form?

It should work for your listbox on submission page as long as you replace "

Value1_1

with the actual listbox element ID
