Handling data validation of numeric inputs (phone numbers, time)

Hi All,

Just curious how other developers handle numeric inputs.  Most form inputs are limited to a "Text Field" .  I've used dropdown boxes to restrict user input in some cases.

Is there some trick to validating user input for:

- time   7:30 AM

- currency $15.00

- phone numbers (650) 691-0900

Hi All - In relation to Caspio's new feature of Worldwide SMS Notifications, if you would like your input phone number fields to be automatically formatted - you can use the International Telephone Input plugin. This JavaScript plugin is used for entering and validating international telephone numbers. It adds a flag dropdown to any input, detects the user's country, displays a relevant placeholder, and provides formatting/validation methods. Just to add, there is a HowTo post that can help you validate separate input for time although it is meant for the Date/Time field. But it may help you in some way.
