Sort by Date Across Multiple Tabs

JaneDoe

Question

Hello,

I have a table that lists due dates for several tasks (the columns of the table) by customer (rows of the table). Right now the only capability we have is to sort by column (each individual task due date) and what we would like to do is sort by date across all columns so that the team can see which tasks are due for which customers today/this week.

Do you have any suggestions on how we can do this? Open to adding all dates in one column with a tag of which task it is assigned to if that is possible.

Sample table:

Customer | Job # | Task 1   | Task 2    | Task 3      | Task 4
ABC             | 1234 | 7/1/24 | 7/8/24   | 7/15/24 | 7/22/24
DEF             | 1235 | 7/8/24 | 7/15/24 | 7/22/24 | 7/29/24

Hello @JaneDoe,

If Tasks are included in your plan, you can use a Task to populate a table with one column https://howto.caspio.com/tasks/

For example, I created a new table with the following design:

The table that you shared I named "forum_tasks".

The Task example:

After the Task run the table is populated with the following data:

Also, you may consider this solution to highlight the dates that are in the past.

This worked great thank you so much!
