Dropdown features

Question

Does anyone know if there is a way for a dropdown menu to recognize the first letters typed so that the user is immediatly taken to entries starting with that letter.

For Example when the dropdown contains State names the user would type the letter \"M\" could the dropdown then focus only on states that begin with \"M\"?

Thanks

Ben, the dropdown box has already this feature so when user type in a letter, it automatically focus on the options start with that letter. As I know, Caspio has another textbox like an autofill textbox as user enter letters it narrows options and autocomplete the option but your web server should be able to run ASP and PHP.

Hi,

Just want to update this post and add some information to the previous comment above. Yes, that is possible to Caspio using Autocomplete.  AutoComplete allows you to combine the flexibility of free-form fields with the power of a lookup dropdown. The AutoComplete form element looks like regular text field, but a suggestion box appears as the users types keywords (similar to Google search) recommending choices already in the database, based on “Begins with”or “Contains” matching values in the associated lookup table.

You can refer to this link for reference: https://howto.caspio.com/datapages/datapage-components/autocomplete/
