Question on Data Page behavior in IE vs. Firefox

sikaye

Question

We have a data page (embedded in a web page) to allow users to modify database entries relating to their company's products. Each product has a unique user name and password.

A user can enter their user name and password for a given product, then make any changes and click an Update button to save their changes.

In Firefox, if a user wants to enter information on multiple products for their company, they need to Clear Private Data and then go back to the login screen.

In IE, even if a user deletes all their browsing history, they need to close and reopen IE. Is this normal behavior for Caspio Bridge, or something I did wrong in creating the data page?

Hi,

I have a question, each user can update multiple products? If yes, you should have a each product record in the table stamped with the username, so when user logs in he/she only see his/her own company products. This requires Record Level Security (RLS) enabled in the Search/Report DataPage.

Here is the online help doc regarding RLS setup http://howto.caspio.com/authentication/ ... -security/.

Best,

Bahar M.
