How do I create a search on a single field to display a record to update

I have one field that I want to use as  a search field to find a record I can then update.  For example "facility" field contains part of a last name (i.e. Jones, Buck Farms etc)

May you please confirm if you would like to have only one search field, but it will check across multiple fields?
