Sequential Numbering

I need to create a submission form (datapage) that will be used to add part information to a "parts" table. The parts table has already been imported with existing parts that have sequential record numbers assigned to each part. The last record number assigned was 067900. I want each new part that is submitted to the table to be sequentially numbered beginning with the next available record number which now is 067901. Any ideas on how I would do this?

You can do that if the field data type is "autonumber". See the resetting autonumber section in this article http://howto.caspio.com/tables/managing-data.html
