Correct email address format for field?

Is there a way that I can ensure that anyone entering data into the email address field, does so in the correct format?

You can do this by simply setting the form element of your field on the submission form to "Email", like so:

Hey! We have the same curiosity!

Just to add on @futurist's solution, you can put hint on the field which will give instruction on the user on what they should type on the field. I do that on my email field.
