Can anyone diagnose this HTML block?

I want my phone number field to show up on our users' phone as a link, where if they click it, it will pull up the phone app and dial that number.  But I can't get it to recognize the HTML, it just comes up as this mess.  Any ideas?

Hi @TNathan. If you will use HTML codes like "a href", you must disable the HTML editor on the advanced tab or click the Source button. Got it - the key was when you uncheck that HTML Editor box, it converts your HTML into something like:

<a href="tel:[@field:Phone]">[@field:Phone]</a>

Need to re-type it as original, and now it works.  Many thanks!

I had same situation, 

When using a HTML block or header and footer and adding custom code it is best to disable HTML editor. Usually when the editor is enable it add additional code such as closing tag.
