\"Date of Submission\" Information

Question

I had a database that allowed our members to update their information using an Update Form but there was no way of tracking the information of when the information was updated. Can Caspio record when the a record was updated and be stored in the database?

Here is what I did to accomplish this. Add another field in your table with data type Date/Time. Name the field LastUpdated. Include this in the update form and make the form element Timestamp. This way, whenever they update their data, this field will be timestamped with the current date and time in GMT. Let me know if you find a better way to do it.

Hi @scuriel,

There is another way to do this. Under your table design, add another field and set it to Timestamp. You can see on your right side of your screen an Option if Stamp on Insert and Stamp on Update. Check both options to stamp on insert and update actions.
