'If', 'Then', and 'Else' for Timestamp?

Is there a way to have a field update with a timestamp only if a certain field has a certain value? Meaning, it will update if the user selects 'Abandoned' from the dropdown, but not if it has 'Declined'. Thoughts?

Yes it is possible using JavaScripts.

Write a function to do the following:

1. Read the value of Field1, if it is equal to "XXX" then assign the value of Field2 (date/time field) to [@cbTimestamp]:

document.getElementById("EditRecordField2").value= "[@cbTimestamp]";

2. Call this function upon form submission.
