Bulk Update Progress?

I realize that Bulk Update is a highly requested feature--but notice posts as far back as 2007 stating it is right around the corner...can you give me any realistic update as to when--if ever--this feature will be available?

I have also posted on feature requests and it is much anticipated. An eta date, methinks, is something we should now be getting!
