Conditional Forms - Edit Contact Information

In the Caspio's blog under "5 Ways to Use Conditional Forms" #5 show a technique to click a check box and make fields editable.  Sample Here

Looking to use this technique but need some insight or instruction.

 

"5. Streamline the overall user experience

Because forms have such an important role in managing data, think of the ways to make it extremely easy for the user to enter information, finish a step, or verify data. Below: Clicking the “Edit contact information†checkbox makes that section editable on-demand (such as on a details page or multi-step confirmation page)."

There should be three sections in your page:

Section 1:

Include a checkbox virtual field for Edit this part

Section 2:

Include the actual fields which are editable in this section

section 3:

Add virtual fields to your page as display only for each single of the fields of the section that can be editable and receive parameters for them in this format : [@field:FIELDNAME]

 

Now you can have 2 Rules:

 

If Virtual1 (checkbox) is not checked >> Make section 2 Hidden

If Virtual1 (checkbox) is checked >> Make section 3 Hidden
