I've been using external query strings to update my database but these inevitably display the field contents on the browser being used. For confidential information, this renders the use of query strings redundant.
Is there any way that the parameters in the query string can be hidden from view. This would be necessary in an application that uses a QR code or NFC tag to update a record in a secure database. If the password information gets displayed then it can't be used.

Any thoughts?
