Odd Characters In Details Pages And Odd Html Code In Notifications Emails

Having a slight problem with some datapages we are creating in Caspio.  

 

We seem to get some odd characters displayed in text fields and html blocks, specifically one that looks like a black diamond with a white question mark within it.  We are also getting the html code ' displayed in notification emails where it should display the ' character, for example John's shows as John's.

 

The text the fields and emails is generated from have their data input correctly and look fine when viewing the table and we're using Microsoft Outlook 2016 as our email client if that's at all relevant.

 

Would anyone here have any ideas of why this happens and how it can be fixed?

Hi IWC,

 

Probably you show email message as a plain text or you have pressed a source button on the HTML editor.

 

Follow these steps:

1. Edit the DataPage, go to Web Form Wizard - Email Options.

2. Select HTML tab. Find a screenshot attached. 

3. Please make sure that character ' shows properly in the HTML editor.

Hi.  The ' character does show properly in the HTML editor.  The ' is taken from the table where the data is stored.  It's part of a name, such as St John's.
