CHlux
Dear community, I am looking for a solution to generate a PDF from Caspio data and have the PDF sent back to Caspio and stored afterwards. Caspio to Webmerge is easily done using Zapier. However, for the way back, Zapier only allows database events such as Create new line. And it seems you can’t pass a PDF file through this method. Any idea? An external storage on Google Drive or AWS is not ideal as documents are sensitive... Many thanks !
0 Vitalikssssss
Hi @CHlux, I do not think you will be able to transfer file via Zapier. Perhaps you should check WebMerge REST API which should have a method to post a file into external database such as Caspio. Caspio REST API supports file transfer. You can check Swagger documentation in order to find the method for file transfer. I would recommend Professional service department of Caspio if you are not familiar with REST API. Hope this helps. 0 Kurumi
Hi everyone! Just an update: Caspio has finally released a feature to show document generation, initially supporting custom PDF templates. You can upload your own fillable PDF file and map each field to a Caspio table. It is available in R30 version: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-30-0/
