Barcode to populate field

Currently trying to find if anyone has already implemented on a Form (DataPage>submission form) a barcode scanner to automatically populate that field rather than have the person attempt to type in 20 characters without error. Of course if there is an app it will have to support API, but any insight is appreciated.

Hello, I haven't implemented any via API, but have been using mobile application barcode scanner called Scan Pet that saves the result to a XLS file that can be uploaded to DropBox or Google Drive. I've then setup a DataHub scheduled task nightly to update/append the records to my Caspio table.  It seems to be available for iOS and Android. It even supports stamping of GPS location and timestamps.

You don't need any APIs, the way I set this up is with files to make my own barcodes. Let me know if you still need help.
