For Tasks set Send Email "From" Sender to a Data Field

Hello,

Is it possible to make the "FROM" field in a Send Email Task a data field? Or can it only be text?

When I try to drag a data field it doesn't give the option to connect. I would like to set the "FROM" field to a text field which contains an email address (this Field is used in the "REPLY TO").

Hi @ChristianM,

We had the same workflow, it seems that it is not possible to set the FROM field to dynamic it is only static. 

You can use logic If Else Statement:

@telly thanks for the reply. For workflows where we have a limited number of "FROM" senders (<10), I came to same solution as you with where clauses.

In the scenario above we have hundreds of possible "FROM" senders which is too many to build every possible query for.

Until/unless this gets added as a feature I will probably just make an email address at our company "clickreply@company.com" and hopefully employees and customers will click that, then use the "REPLY TO" field in the screenshot above.
