search functions

i am using a search that have multiple fields...the same fields that are used to upload information to the database table. I want to be able to enter a word into on or two of these fields and have them found even if it is not an exact match... example looking for the \"Author\" I would enter the word \"test\" and find \"tester\" or in a key word field be able to find a single word and not have to enter all the words exactly. Right now it appears that the search requires and exact match.

Anyone know how to do this?

In the section where you configure the filter fields you will have an option called comparision type. Set the drop down to \"contains\" instead of \"equal\"

Thanks, I did not realize how that setting worked. I guess I should have gone to help and read the details on each setting. Still would like a boleen type search but I understand you are working on that.
