Add info about a table?

It is possible — in the right panel of the “Table design” page — to add a description of a field.

Is there a convenient place to add a description of the table? This would be nice for documenting a design.

If not, have others found a good way to include table-specific design notes within a database?

Hi @JohnM,

Yes, you may add more details about fields in the Description area in Table Design:

• Description – Use this section to enter a short description for the currently selected field as a future reminder, comment, or note. This is helpful if more than one person will be developing apps using the same table. The content of the description field is not visible in your apps.

It is also possible to add Notes for the whole table in Properties:

Hi JohnM,

I use the label column of the field for adding descriptions because it makes it easier for me to check the descriptions unlike the actual description section wherein you need to select the field first to view the description. For me, you can feel the convenience of that label column if the table has a lot of fields, and you can always change that field label in the DataPage wizard.
