Logging in to Secured Page

anadesigns

Question

I'm very new to this and I can't seem to make my login with username and password work on my index.html page, it's been about a week. I just want to create a simple login form with username and password with the password and username on the table I created in order to log into the secured employees page.

I logged in and was able to get to employees page but when I used a username and password not in my table it still got me into that page. What did I do wrong?

Also I created my employees page as an HTML datapage in order for people from going into the employees page by typing in the url and employees.html. Is there a simpler way?

I need this to work in order to upgrade so that I can get more clients. Thank you. This would be helpful because I'm getting a little frustrated. :x

Creating an HTML DataPage inside an authenticated folder should achieve what you are looking for. Make sure in the table design the username or whichever field used in the authentication is set as a Unique field. Also create a logout link as described in this article http://howto.caspio.com/authentication/ ... -link.html

If you have done this and still having problem, share the link and test username/pass so I can test it.

Best,

Bahar M.

Hello Everyone, In the recent release 34, Caspio introduced Directories (BETA) that could be used for authentication. You may refer to these links. Note that for now, it's currently available as a beta release to corporate-level plans.

Hey there! Caspio releases new enhancements to the Caspio Directories feature, check this out:

  • Page redirection options for sign-in and sign-out.
  • Single logout (SLO) from third-party connected apps, so users are automatically logged out from the directory when logging out from a connected app.
  • Ability to display a custom background image on the sign-in page, providing you with another way to customize your app’s login experience.
