Search form same page: HOLD search criteria after hitting Search

I have a DP with a search field up top (2 fields)  and results displayed underneath, with a Details option that also show the data underneath the search field.

Right after I hit Search on the search fields it resets to empty.  I would like whatever was entered in the two search fields to remain after hitting Search AND after showing details.

Hope that makes sense.

Hello, I'm afraid that this is currently not possible as a  standard feature because the nature of the DataPages with the details option resets the records when you go back to the search field. Try if this will work on different types of search. I also believe that this has something to do with cookies and auto population so this might require a script (not sure though), let us wait for the other replies if they have a script workaround.
