Hi,

Unfortunately bulk upload on multiple records is not a standard feature for now. It is possible by utilizing web services API: http://www.caspio.com/support/web-services-api.asp. Or you can hire Caspio programmer to do this for you. The good news is that the development team is working on to add this feature in future release.

The bulk data delete is available. You can delete specific records by first creating a filter (explained in this article http://howto.caspio.com/tables/managing-data.html) and using the checkboxes to delete the filtered records.

The bulk data update is available using Find and Replace data explained in the same article referenced above.

If Find and Replace does not achieve the bulk update you are looking for, the workaround is to export the table out into i.e. Excel and perform the data updates then import them back into Caspio Bridge replacing the existing table.

Hope this information helps.

Best,

Bahar M.

Is there really still not a way to do a batch update? We've been using Caspio for a few years now and this is one of the biggest drawbacks, one which has caused us to shop around for other database solutions. We have hundreds of records that we would like to be able to add (not replace, but add to the existing record) comments to, and we have to do each one individually, which is a major pain. Even to export the data to Excel then re-import to Caspio (hoping to God we don't do something that will blow out our data) is too much for a non-tech person to do.

Does Caspio have a desire to do this?

I'm afraid it's not a function that JavaScript can handle. We hear your voices and escalate them to the product management team. The feature's priority is raised and will be evaluated for the next release. Therefore, there will be a possibility that the feature will be accommodated (not 100% sure) in the next release, Caspio Bridge 7.3, this release is planned for the end of Q1 or beginning of Q2.

If you would like to be included in our notification list when this feature is available, open a support ticket and refer to this forum post. Caspio Support will take it from there and inform you when the feature is available. To open a support ticket, log in to the portal via https://support.caspio.com.

Best,

Bahar M.

Hi all,

Just to give an update, bulk edit is now a standard feature of Caspio. It is available in all report types, the user can select any number of records and update them all at once.

Bulk editing is performed through a web form that overlays on top of the results set and the user can specify which of the provided fields should be modified.

For more information, you can visit this link: https://howto.caspio.com/datapages/reports/data-editing-options-in-reports/

Regards,

kristina
