Report to fetch the latest entry for a particular field

I have a table with measurement information for various facilities. Each measurement has a measurement date. Facility name is the search criteria for a report. When a user chooses a particular facility, I want the report to display the latest measurement (based on the measurement date). Currently it displays all the measurement information. However, the requirement is to see only the latest information.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can create a report with no details page. In Search Result Options screen have one record return per page and and in advanced tab also Total records returned should be 1 also sort by date descending.

I assume this was bumped for my benefit. I had actually seen this thread before I posted my question. While this will work, I would much prefer for the secretary not to have to run two reports. She is not the most computer-literate person around and I am trying to keep things as simple as possible for her.

But thanks anyway. I'll keep this as my plan B.

Thanks for the reply. While this solution will work for viewing the latest record for one facility, I want to view the latest measurement information for all the facilities that qualify based on a search criteria.

Unfortunately it is not possible by using the current system standard feature. You can have Caspio developer program that for you. You can also request it at http://ideabox.caspio.com
