Attachments In Emails Not Working

The online help says you can have attachments in your automatic emails.  I do not see where that is possible for my acknowledgements in submission, update or report pages.

As far as I know, only if your data source includes File fields and this field is editable on the DataPage, the Attachments button is displayed in Emails.

Then you can click the Attachments button and select this field.

I cannot get my file attachment to send with the response email I have created. It has been uploaded into files, appears in the attachment box in the form wizard but does not get delivered with the email it is attached to. I cannot find any info in the forums that directly addresses this problem. Further, because I had to place a file field in the form to even get the attachment option to appear, my form now has a field on it requesting the responder to choose a file. Whats up with that? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

To hide the field in the details you can use table tags as explined here http://howto.caspio.com/tech-tips-and-articles/common-customizations/how-to-hide-fields-in-datapages/

 

If there is a file in the table it should be attached to the email
