Vipul

Question

I just checked with caspio support for above requirement that i want to trigger external url on data insert , update in caspio database so they said you can achieve this function by writing custom script in your data page form so does anyone can help me on this...

My Requirement is whenever there is a insert /update in caspio i need to post those updates in other ERP system over http web url or with custom api which ever is possible... my idea is that there should be some script we can insert into datapage that can post to my php web application and that application insert into my erp ....

Regards,

Vipul

HI Maymusic,

Yes we can do that with API but that is something like every 1 min i have to read database ..so that is costly operation ...cant we make Push method like webhook from Caspio DB... ? so whenever there is update caspio can trigger that webhook ? I know we can achieve same with Zapier but that is again premium cost...

Keep in mind that premuim options would add premium costs. Although, I agree with the idea of Caspio offering Webhooks, it is not currently available, so work arounds require either 3rd party services or backend development. I would say Zapier would be the best option for you in this case since they can watch over new or updated records so you can process them automatically.

Hello! Caspio releases another new enhancement to the WebHooks feature, refer below:

Caspio Webhooks allows your applications to communicate with third-party systems in real-time when data changes occur.

Starting this release, you can configure webhooks to trigger based on how the data is updated, be it through DataPages, Datasheet, or REST API. Webhook payloads are enhanced by adding the ability to insert data source parameters or webhook-related parameters and to load a default payload.

Hello! Caspio releases another new enhancement to the WebHooks feature, refer below:

Caspio Webhooks allows your applications to communicate with third-party systems in real time when changes to data occur.
In this release, we introduced the following updates:

  • In non-HIPAA/Compliance accounts, webhooks logs now show the information sent and received.
  • All accounts, including HIPAA/Compliance, now can:
    • Send webhooks based on table events initiated by triggered actions and tasks.
    • Configure webhooks for tables with triggered actions enabled for the same event as the webhook.
  • A single REST API call can be used to activate or deactivate all events for a selected webhook.

Keep in mind that adding premium options will incur additional costs. While I agree that Caspio's offering of Webhooks would be beneficial, this feature is not currently available. As a result, workarounds require either third-party services or backend development. The best solution for you would be Zapier, as it can monitor new or updated records and process them automatically.
