cdutoit62
I have a tabular web form that provides a results page table with a collapsible group. The group collapses & expands on demand as expected on the results page but the PDF generator prints the group in the expanded format only. I want the PDF generator to mimic the results page group setting for collapse/expand if possible. Caspio support have advised that this is considered to be custom code. I am using the results page field for the PDF generator & was expecting the PDF output to be the same as the results page output. I have attached print screen examples of the collapsed result page & expanded PDF versions for clarity.
AtayBalunbalunan
Hi cdutoit62, you can refer to this related forum thread for the workaround: https://forums.caspio.com/topic/4223-print-button/?tab=comments#comment-13713 Upon bringing up the printing window, just choose Save as PDF. Glitch
Hi there. If you want to save a PDF maybe this could help: I tried this on my end and it captures the PDF of whatever configuration I set the DataPage into. This was the output: http://prntscr.com/mx2avq But it doesn't respond when I try to expand the other fields. Meaning to say, whatever was set as the initial display of the DataPage, this would be the output for the PDF file. PDF Files of Caspio seems to download the expanded grouping of the results form. Hope this helps!
Kurumi
Hi everyone! Just an update: Caspio has finally released a feature to show document generation, initially supporting custom PDF templates. You can upload your own fillable PDF file and map each field to a Caspio table. It is available in R30 version: https://howto.caspio.com/release-notes/caspio-30-0/
