Select Records To be Downloaded In Results Page

Hi, I want to have an option to select the files that I will be downloading (PDF,Excel, etc..) because as of the moment when I click on the download option, it will download all the records in the results page,

Hi Azriel, 

You can do that by setting a Search Field on your Report DataPage. By doing that, users may filter the results that they want to see, then enable your download options.

You may refer to this sample application that I created.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I think that would not do it. I currently have this search form, that will display a  list of items that belongs to the item category that the user has selected.

So, what I want to do is to display all the items that belongs to the same category that the user has selected (Working right now) , and print only the selected Items (By clicking on the check box, or other methods). I have included a checkbox in my results page. I just don't know how to generate a PDF file from this.

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Hi @JolliBeng,

In Download Settings, select data to be printed from the Details page instead of the Results page. In the Details page, add all the fields that you intend to display in the PDF.

Hi everyone! Just an update: Caspio has finally released a feature to show document generation, initially supporting custom PDF templates. You can upload your own fillable PDF file and map each field to a Caspio table.

Hi everyone!  Caspio has new update and enhancement about PDF Documents. You can now insert PDF documents on results pages in addition to details pages. You can now as well customize the “Download PDF” action link using the associated style and localization, or create a custom display during DataPage configuration.
