As Form Elements 

Dropdowns are available as Form Elements option. To make a certain field as a Dropdown, just select the Field from the DataPage and set the Form Element to 'Dropdown'.  

 

 

Source 

There are three types of Sources as to how can you retrieve your values from the Dropdown. You may choose Custom Values (which is the default), you may also choose Lookup table or View, and both.   

 

Custom values - lets you display a list of choices with defined values according to your own preference.  

 

 Lookup tables or View – lets you retrieve information from a table as a source of values for displays which also lets you custom the values. 

 

 

Both- Lets you merge Custom values and Lookup table or View. There are some instances where you might need to add certain values that may be included in a lookup and additional values, choosing Both would be the best option.

Some of the configurations (Source, etc) of the Dropdown can also be applied to Radio Button Form Elements. The only thing that will differ from the configurations are the placement.

To add on this, you may also reduce the number of visible options in dropdown fields by enabling the 'Record Level Security' feature. Here's a HowTo article for more information:
